To research Raising the Stakes, you took an improv class yourself. What did your firsthand experiences onstage teach you that you never could have learned from watching?
One picture. One sad image of a small boy. He could be your child. Your neighbour’s boy. Your student. All of a sudden, in one relatable moment, we cannot turn away from a sight no one wants to see.
Confession time. I’m a book pirate. Have been since my first library card. Some people you just can’t trust with books.
