Heather M. O’Connor is an award-winning children’s author based in Peterborough, Ontario. Her heartwarming picture book FAST FRIENDS, published by Scholastic Canada, was the 2022 TD Grade 1 Book Giveaway and the winner of the Ruth and Sylvia Schwartz Award. Now the characters are back for another speedy-quick adventure in FRIENDS FIND A WAY.
Heather’s other books include the dual-language picture book Runs with the Stars / Wiijibibamatoon-Anangoonan, coauthored with Darcy Whitecrow, and the YA soccer novel Betting Game.
Heather enjoys visiting schools, libraries, book clubs and writing groups. As a member of the Writers’ Union of Canada, she is eligible for the Ontario Writers in the Schools Program and National Public Readings Program.
