Clue 3 in the treasure hunt got shuffled into an Orca Rapid Reads title about a professional poker player. This book, written by William Kowalski, doesn’t come out until March 8, but it’s already won a glowing review. (Sounds like a sure bet to me.)
Clue 2 in my Orca Book treasure hunt is found in the title of an upcoming book by Robin Stevenson.
If you collect all 7 clues, you could win $50 in Orca Books. And new books are the best treasure of all.
If you play with people long enough, you get to know them pretty well. It’s true in team sports, and it’s true in writing. But sometimes, there’s just not enough room in the story. Sometimes we have to cut characters from the team.
That’s what happened to Jonesy. He’s Jack and Alex’s best friend and team captain. Stand-up guy. But he had to go. I just didn’t have room on my roster.

I’ll post a new clue here every two weeks between December 1 and February 23. Collect all 7 words, and send them to me by March 14…
